It looks like Bollywood's tryst with recreate iconic songs is never going to end! After recreating 'Samjhawan' from Pankaj Batra's Punjabi film, Virsa, for Shashank Khaitan's directorial debut, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will now be grooving to a new version of Bappi Lahiri's "Tamma Tamma" for Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

The original track from the film, Thanedaar featured Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit showing off their swagger moves and was a huge chartbuster back then.

Tanishk Baagchi who has composed the new version of the track was quoted saying to Mumbai Mirror, "We have retained the original voices of Bappi Lahiri and Anuradha Paudwal but also added Badshah and a bit of rap. It's a peppy dance track with the music slightly altered to suit current trends."

The dance number will be choreographed by Bosco-Caesar and will go on floors this week.

Varun and Alia kicked off the film in Mumbai in May before moving to Jhansi, Kota and Singapore. As per a leading daily, "This story begins with certain hardships the couple face before their love blossoms in Singapore."

In an earlier interview, Varun had revealed that Badrinath Ki Dulhania is unlike any of the Dharma films and has lot of dark twists.
