Shahrukh
Khan
starrer
Fan,
has
failed
to
reach
the
expectations
of
the
audiences,
and
the
box
office
collections
are
dipping
drastically
as
the
days
pass
by.
It's
surprising
to
see
Shahrukh
Khan,
who
commands
a
huge
fan
following
across
the
country
is
struggling
to
cross
the
100
Crores
mark
in
revenue.
When
people
are
questioning
why
Fan,
despite
all
the
hype
and
expectations
it
created
before
its
release
has
failed
at
the
box
office,
Shahrukh
Khan,
has
a
different
story
to
tell.
The
actor,
blames
the
absence
of
'songs
&
dance'
in
the
movie
which
led
to
it's
poor
performance.
Shahrukh
Khan,
was
quoted
as
saying
to
PTI,
"It's
not
a
film
that
heartland
audience
(masses)
will
like.
But
we
took
a
chance
thinking
hopefully
they
will
like
it,
but
they
need
song
and
dance.
I
am
not
unrealistic".
"While
we
were
making
Swades,
I
had
told
Ashutosh
Gowariker
that
hope
you
know
this
film
will
not
make
much
business
as
the
other
(more
commercial)
films
do.
But
he
had
the
guts
to
make
a
film
like
Swades
with
a
star
like
me.
I
think
this
is
what
we
should
celebrate.
When
a
new
kind
of
filmmaker
comes,
and
makes
something
different
with
new
people
as
he
doesn't
have
access
to
others
(stars),
I
really
appreciate
that.
I
think
it
is
more
appreciated
when
an
established
director,
producer,
star
does
something
unusual
like
Fan".
The
total
box
office
collections
for
Fan
until
Tuesday
(Day
5)
is
64.15
Crores.
