Filmfare Awards 2016: Ranveer Singh Wins Best Actor For Bajirao Mastani

Ranveer Singh does it! His 5 years of journey from winning the Best debut at Filmfare to winning Best Actor has come a full circle!

The actor won the award for his lead role in Bajirao Mastani! Ranveer truly deserved this honour for the sheer hardwork he put into the movie! Ranveer shaved his head and performed like a real warrior in the movie.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali who directed the movie seemed to be like the winner of the night for the maximum awards were won by his directorial, Bajirao Mastani!

Ranveer Singh too dedicated his award to his parents and his sister like his alleged ladylove, Deepika Padukone! "It is an honour to be nominated alongside my idol Mr Amitabh Bachchan," says Ranveer Singh! The actor chokes in the middle of his thank you speech.

Meanwhile, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali said that it was his night after 9 years. Looks like in the war of Dilwale Vs Bajirao Mastani, the latter emerged to be a winner.
