Heavy Metal Chick! Shruti Haasan To Perform With British Rock Band 'Dinosaur Pile-Up'
The metalhead of Bollywood, Shruti Haasan loves to rock & roll and the actress will never stop rolling her music career to a whole new level. Shruti, has teamed up with the British alternative rock band, 'Dinosaur Pile-Up' and will sing and co-write songs for their upcoming album.

Shruti Haasan, is a heavy metal chick since her teenage days, and the actress played in a rock band named 'The Extramentals!' between 2006 to 2009. The band is currently inactive as Shruti has a lot of work commitments and is busy shooting for movies.
Despite being busy, Shruti Haasan has always made time for rock music, and that is where her heart truly belongs. An insider was quoted as saying,
"Shruti has gone to London, UK, a couple of times, and has been meeting and jamming with the band members - lead singer and guitarist Matt Bigland, drummer Mike Sheils and bassist Jim Cratchley. She spent time with them and enjoyed their music, and felt that it was in line with her own musical choices."
The insider further added, "Shruti is a complete musician, as she is someone who writes, composes and sings her own songs."
Shruti Haasan, was spotted several times sporting heavy metal t-shirts of legendary bands such as Metallica, The Rolling Stones and Nirvana.
These bands have influenced Shruti Haasan tremendously and the actress, had also posted a picture of herself along with her father Kamal Haasan and captioned it as "Heavy metal runs in Haasan's blood". The father-daughter duo is seen showing the 'sacred metal horns'.
