Abraham Mathai sent a notice under Section 295A of the Indian Penal Code to Hrithik Roshan for making unwarranted and uncalled for remarks against the Pope.

He demanded that Hrithik make an unconditional apology for his tweet on Pope Francis. Though Hrithik has not reacted on this matter, his fans seem to have taken over and are speaking up for the star.
Fans are flooding Twitter with numerous tweets in support of the actor with the slogan "I Stand With Hrithik". Numerous fan clubs of the star are making sure the slogan trends as they feel slapping Hrithik with a notice for a joke is unfair.
When Kangana had made the "silly ex" comment, Hrithik had taken to Twitter and wrote, "There r more chances of me having had an affair with d Pope dan any of d (Im sure wonderful)women d media hs ben naming.Thanks but no thanks."
While this was a harmless tweet by the Dhoom 2 star, former vice chairman of the State Minorities Commission has found it to be offensive and has slapped the actor with a notice.
