This morning, most of us woke up to the news reports of Saif Ali Khan's Sara making her Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy opposite Ranveer Singh. However in the latest development we hear that these were mere rumors. Yes, it's not Sara but someone else who is all set to be Ranveer's leading lady!

Any guesses? Well, we have some exciting scoop for you on this film. As per a Filmfare report, it's Alia Bhatt who has walked away with the role and will be seen sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh for the first time.

The duo had earlier teamed up for a series of ads for a travel portal and since then there were various speculations about them doing a film together soon.

Gully Boy is a coming-of-age musical film inspired by two real-life rappers from Mumbai's chawls, Rapper Divine and Rapper Naezy. The film is slated to go on floors next year.
