Salman Khan's Sultan was all set to clash against Shahrukh Khan's Raees during Eid, 2016 and SRK changed his mind in the nick of time by postponing the films release to January, 2017 avoiding a major clash of the titans.
However, Salman Khan feels that Shahrukh Khan postponed Raees not because he feared Sultan, but because the film was not ready yet! Salman explained the scenario that if two big films clash at the box office, it would be a huge loss for the distributors and exhibitors of both the films.
During an interaction with the media, Salman Khan was quoted as saying on Raees, "We don't have many theaters and screens to release two films together. We should have good number of screens to release two big films on the same date."
