Shahrukh Khan says that he is happy that he stood up to the expectations in Dear Zindagi and is glad that people have liked the movie. SRK is now gearing up for the release of Raees in January, 2017.

For the first time, the audiences saw Shahrukh Khan playing the role of a love guru and not actually romancing the lead actress in Dear Zindagi. Expectations were high and Shahrukh Khan didn't disappoint the audiences with his wit and charm. SRK was quoted as saying,

"I am happy the film has turned out well. Its Gauri Shinde and Alia Bhatt's film. I am a small part of it. I had to make sure I stand up to their expectations and I am very happy I could do that," said SRK at the Star Screen Awards.

Dear Zindagi has Shahrukh Khan as Dr Jehangir, an unconventional therapist who helps a budding cinematographer (Alia) gain a new perspective on life.
