Udta Punjab Controversy! Sonakshi Sinha Has A New Name For The Film
Shahid Kapoor starrer Udta Punjab, is facing the heat from the Censor Board for its explicit content. The film-makers and CBFC have locked horns on the issue, and the problem is that the Censor Board has shown the attitude of 'my way or the highway'.
In the midst of the raging controversy, Sonakshi Sinha seems to be furious about the issue and took to Twitter to speak her mind. The actress gave a new name for the film and took a jab at the CBFC in the process. The actress tweeted as,
"I really dont know what #UdtaPunjab should be renamed to... But the Censor Board can surely consider the name #UdtaMazaak."
The Censor Board, as of today has ordered 94 cuts in the movie, and some of the cuts are just ridiculous. If Udta Punjab movie gets 94 cuts, we wonder what else is left worth watching in the film!
Udta Punjab, had to be released on June 17, 2016, but due to the Censor Board controversy, the film might be postponed. However, an official confirmation will be made today June 9, 2016, by the film-makers regarding the release of the film. Stay tuned for more!
