Udta Punjab is a crime thriller film, which deals with the drug abuse in Punjab. Unfortunately, the movie got leaked on the internet, two days before the release. The illegal link to watch the controversial Udta Punjab has been detected in as many as 732 websites by the anti-piracy wing. Not just that, reportedly, in the pirated film, it is clearly written 'For Censor', giving rise to doubts that it has been leaked by someone from the CBFC office.

The lead actor of the movie, Shahid Kapoor, who is playing a drug addict, has really worked hard for the movie.

"It was very difficult. The most challenging part was to play a cocaine addict. I have never ever had even alcohol. Most people have tried something or the other in their lives. I have never tried anything. It was scary to play a character who is always high when you don't even know what it is like to be high,'' Shahid Kapoor told a leading daily.
