Sonam Kapoor who is acting in the upcoming movie Neerja, a biopic about the brave airhostess Neerja Bhanot who lost her life in a tragic incident, had a narrow escape from death herself.
The actress who is promoting the movie spoke about the traumatic incident from her life and shared this incident where her intuition saved her and her friend's life.
The movie's hero, Neerja has become an epitome of courage after she saved the lives of 359 passengers on board when her flight PanAm 73 got hijacked.
While it cannot be compared, for Neerja's sacrifice was far greater, Sonam who reprises the role on-screen also saved a life in the face of death.
When Sonam was just 15 years old, she and her friend, Kunam Ranwal were travelling in a car when it suddenly stopped.
She suddenly got a bad feeling and asked her friend to immeidately get off from the car. But before Kunal could, his side of the car had got on fire, thereby jamming the car door.
Instead of saving herself, Sonam stayed back and pulled her friend out of the car and got him to safety, seconds later the car blew up.
Thanks to Sonam's intuition that she is alive, a rather horrific and spooky incident of her life right?
