Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father Krishnaraj Rai breathed his last on March 18, 2017 at a suburban hospital. Many B-town celebs including Shahrukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali had attended the funeral of Aishwarya's father.

Coming back to Aishwarya's father's illness, according to Lt. Gen. V. Ravishankar, who was treating Krishnaraj Rai at Lilavati Hospital, Rai had lymphoma. He was in hospital for over a month. He is survived by his wife Brindya Rai, son Aditya and daughter Aishwarya.
