A
lot
of
speculations
have
been
doing
the
rounds
about
'2
States'
director
Abhishek
Varman's
next
which
is
touted
to
be
a
period-drama
set
in
the
Partition
era.
The
film
has
already
been
in
the
works
for
two
years
now.
As
per
a
leading
daily,
the
film's
producer
Karan
Johar
wasn't
happy
with
the
script
so
Abhishek
has
been
working
on
a
fresh
draft
for
the
two-hero
project.
And
while
several
names
have
been
doing
the
rounds,
for
the
story
of
two
brothers,
rumours
suggest
that
Varun
Dhawan
and
Arjun
Kapoor
might
make
it
to
the
final
cast.
The
daily
further
added
that
while
Abhishek,
when
contacted,
chose
to
not
comment,
a
source
close
to
the
production
said,
"He
is
fine-tuning
the
script
at
the
moment
and
will
be
presenting
the
final
draft
to
Karan
in
a
week's
time.
Casting
is
underway.
Contrary
to
rumours,
the
film
is
not
on
the
backburner
now.
Karan
didn't
want
to
go
ahead
without
the
perfect
script
but
things
seem
to
be
working
out
now.
The
film
is
expected
to
go
on
the
floors
in
the
coming
months."
We
hear
that
the
film,
initially
titled
Kalank,
has
been
rechristened
Shiddat.
Meanwhile,
Arjun
Kapoor
and
Varun
Dhawan
recently
walked
the
ramp
for
their
designer-friend
Kunal
Rawal
at
the
Lakme
Fashion
Week
2017
and
since
then,
everyone
is
eagerly
waiting
to
see
them
in
a
film
together.
Will
Shiddat
make
it
happen?
