Disha Patani Writes A Heartfelt Facebook Post To Condemn The Bengaluru Molestation Case!
The actress who debuted in Bollywood with Sushant Singh Rajput's M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story wrote that she is quite frightened to think of how unsafe it is to stay out late night.
After several Bollywood celebrities like Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan and others condemning the recent Bengaluru molestation case, 'M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story' actress Disha Patani too slammed the shameful act in a heart-felt post on her Facebook page.
The actress wrote, "Saddened and hurt by the mass molestation incident that took place in Bengaluru. As a girl who stays away from her family and constantly traveling on work, it frightens me to think of how unsafe it is to stay out late or wear outfits that might be deemed inappropriate, by not only lawbreakers but lawmakers too.These episodes just re-instill my belief that we need to be our own heroes - We have a long way to go on educating our social system but at this point I strongly feel that self defense is an absolute must for every woman out there. As someone with a background in gymnastics and martial arts, I know how empowered , safe and secure knowing a few basic self-defense techniques can make a woman/girl feel. Let's get moving!"
We couldn't agree more to these words. The unfortunate incident which took place on the New Years Eve shook up the entire nation and raised the question of women's safety in our country.
Meanwhile on the work front, Disha's next project is Jackie Chan's Kung Fu Yoga which has her playing the role of an Indian princess named Asmita. The film also stars Sonu Sood and Amyra Dastur.
