Begum Jaan First Look Is Out & It Features Vidya Balan Puffing A Hookah!

The name Vidya Balan is synonymous with power-packed performances. Her last film Kahaani 2 might not have found many takers at the box office but that hasn't deterred the talented lady from churning out impressive act one after the other.

Known for sinking deep into the skin of the characters that she plays on screen, the actress is back with yet another intriguing tale. We are talking about Srijit Mukherjee's Begum Jaan!

We recently chanced upon the first look of the film and boy, it's got us all excited. The still features Vidya, an owner of a brothel puffing a hookah with a deglamed Gauahar Khan by her side.

Reportedly the Kahaani 2 actress had taken up horse-riding and was undergoing voice training to modulate her voice for her role in the film.

Begum Jaan is the remake of the Bengali hit film Rajkahini. The film revolves around the trauma faced by displaced women in a brothel during the partition of India.

Boosting of a stellar cast consisting of Naseeruddin Shah, Ila Arun, Pallavi Sharda, Ridhima Tiwari, Mishti, Flora Saini and Rajat Kapoor, the film is scheduled to hit the big screens on 17th March 2017.
