BREAKING NEWS: Actor Om Puri Passes Away At The Age Of 66

It's just the beginning of 2017 and we lost one of the most versatile and talented actors of the B-town! Actor Om Puri, who was 66, is no more with us as he suffered a cardiac arrest on Friday morning in Mumbai.

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit confirmed the news of his demise on Friday morning and wrote, "Sad & shocked to know that versatile actor Om Puri jee has expired due to heart attack early morning today. #RIP."

Director Karan Johar also gave his condolences on Twitter and wrote, "Solid actor....Solid filmography....immense talent.... #RIPOmPuri ....cinema has truly lost a brilliant artist....."

"Seeing him lying on his bed looking so calm can't believe that one of our greatest actors #OmPuri is no more. Deeply saddened & shocked," wrote Anupam Kher.

The actor has appeared in mainstream Bollywood cinema as well as Pakistani, British and Hollywood films. B-town is surely going to miss this gem of Indian cinema!
