As
soon
as
the
CBFC
denied
certifying
the
controversial
film
Lipstick
Under
My
Burkha,
social
media
trolls
had
a
field
day
and
poked
fun
at
the
Censor
Board
and
its
chief
for
clipping
the
creative
wings
of
film-makers
in
India.
However,
CBFC
chief
Pahlaj
Nihalani
opened
up
about
the
issue
by
saying
that
social
media
trolls
don't
affect
him
and
Indian
film-makers
must
make
films
keeping
the
Indian
traditions
ahead.
He
said,
"Hindustan
ki
parampara
ko
aage
rakh
ke
film
banaye.
Festival
me
film
dikhao
taali
bajti
hai
par
theatre
me
public
nahi
aati.
Arey
mujhe
hata
do,farak
nahi
padta,
lekin
main
imaandari
se
apna
kaam
karta
rahunga
(Make
films
keeping
the
Indian
traditions
ahead.
People
applaud
a
movie
in
film
festivals
but
no
one
comes
to
watch
it
in
theatres.
Remove
me
from
my
position,
I
don't
care.
I
will
continue
doing
my
work
with
honesty)."
He
also
said
that
he
will
"not
succumb
to
social
media
pressure"
and
slammed
news
channels
for
not
doing
their
homework
properly
on
the
issue.
"Debates
are
running
on
TV
channels
but
they
have
not
done
their
homework
on
CBFC
guidelines."
Several
Bollywood
celebs
have
condemned
the
attitude
of
the
CBFC
for
not
certifying
the
film
by
giving
absurd
reasons
that
the
film
is
lady-oriented
and
we
hope
that
the
matter
will
be
settled
as
quickly
as
possible!
