PC
Talks
About
Endorsing
Fairness
Cream
'I
endorsed
a
fairness
cream
many
years
ago,
for
about
12
months.'
What
Changed
Her
Outlook?
'Then
I
realised
I
did
not
like
how
I
felt.
After
that
I
never
endorsed
fairness
creams.
Wow,
that's
quite
of
bold
of
PC
to
take
up
a
stand
against
something
which
she
felt
wasn't
right.'
The
Abhay
Deol
Post
Which
Stirred
Up
Reactions
All
Over
The
actor
had
written
in
a
Facebook
post,
"There's
a
lot
more
of
these
campaigns
that
are
blatantly,
and
sometimes
subtly,
selling
you
the
idea
that
whiter
skin
is
better
than
darker
skin.
No
one
at
the
top
of
their
game
in
any
field
is
going
to
tell
you
that
it
is
demeaning,
false,
and
racist.
You
have
to
see
that
for
yourself.
You
have
to
stop
buying
into
the
idea
that
a
particular
shade
is
better
than
others.
Unfortunately
if
you
look
at
matrimonial
ads
you
will
see
how
entrenched
in
our
psyche
this
belief
is.
We
even
use
the
word
'dusk'
to
describe
the
colour
of
someones
skin!
While
an
individual
may
not
be
able
to
change
this
attitude
in
his/her
community,
he/she
can
at
least
start
with
the
family."
Meanwhile
Here's
What
Yami
Gautam
Has
To
Say...
Yami
Gautam
who
is
known
for
endorsing
a
particular
brand
of
fairness
cream
when
asked
about
her
take
gave
a
rather
blunt
response
in
the
form
of
'My
life,
my
choice'.
Well
Yami,
all
we
would
like
to
say
to
you
is
'with
great
power
comes
great
responsibility!
