Sayani Gupta Freaked Out When Offered The Role Of A Cricket Analyst!
Sayani Gupta revealed that she freaked out when she was offered the role of a Cricket Analyst for her upcoming web series.
Sayani Gupta who starred in Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB 2 was offered the role of a Cricket Analyst in a web series and the actress revealed that she literally freaked out when the makers approached her as there are very less female analysts for the game of cricket. She said, "Honestly I was freaking out when the director, Karan Anshuman, asked me to play this technically sound character, who knows so much about cricket."

"I
play
the
character
of
Rohini,
who
is
the
team
analyst,
she
is
the
brain
behind
the
team.
It's
very
rare
in
our
country,
but
abroad,
the
trend
of
having
a
female
cricket
analyst
is
normal.
So,
I
actually
had
to
figure
out
the
technicalities
behind
the
game."
Preparing herself for the role of a Cricket Analyst was not easy and Sayani Gupta had to contact her family, friends and other known people to gain more info about the whole process of cricket and what goes on behind the scenes. She said, "It's tough. Cricket is a very complex game and only if you have followed it for a long time, you would understand it completely. Although it was very challenging, it was also fun to play this character in the web series. She is such a geek and so effortlessly brilliant."
Apart from the web series, Sayani Gupta would also be seen in Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos and the surprising part is that she'll be playing the role of a 14-year-old-girl in the film. She said, "It's the best casting of my life. I love dada (Anurag Basu) to have had the imagination to see me as a little girl who is all of 14 years. I loved his audition process as well, it was so simple. He is quite a genius and this character will always be very close to my heart. People who have seen me in the look can't believe that I am not a teen."
