Varun & Alia Were Superb In Badrinath Ki Dulhania: Sujoy Ghosh

Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh on Monday (March 13) said that he found actors Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt to be superb in their latest film Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

"Really enjoyed Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Superb they were. So much fun to watch their banter. Clap Clap," Sujoy Ghosh wrote on Twitter.

The Shashank Khaitan-directed Badrinath Ku Dulhania, which is produced by Karan Johar, has opened strongly at the box-office.

In the first two days in the country, the film minted Rs 27 crore, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The movie is performing well in all the territories across the country. It has managed to hold well in the multiplexes as well as in the single screens.

Although a romantic drama, the film does throw the spotlight on the dowry system and still existent patriarchal society. The film is the second instalment of the 2014 hit film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
