Varun Dhawan BREAKS SILENCE On Saroj Khan Controversy; Says, I Don't Know Her Personally
Here's what Varun Dhawan has to say about ongoing Saroj Khan controversy over the new version of Tamma Tamma song.
Fans are going gaga over the new-version of Tamma Tamma featuring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt but the duo was also praised by Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and the singer of the original song - Bappi Lehri. But it's the legend choreographer Saroj Khan, who is unhappy with the team of Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
Saroj Khan was quoted as saying, "Maybe, they think that Masterji (referring to herself) has become old and Madhuri Dixit hasn't. That's why they have called her." A leading entertainment portal reached out to Varun and when asked for his reaction over the entire controversy, here's what Varun told:
Varun Ready To Apologize
"I would want to apologize to Saroj Ji, but it wasn't in my hands. I didn't have her number and I don't know her personally. I had asked dad (David Dhawan) for her number, but by that time he had gone to London."
Varun Says He's Not Giving Excuse
"I know this in not an excuse. I really take her as an inspiration and even her songs. I know Sanjay sir and Madhuri mam, so I took that lead," added Varun.
'Bosco Was Nervous'
Dhawan also added, "I told Bosco (Tamma Tamma Again choreographer) but he was a little nervous. I agree that the song is hers as much as of Sanjay sir and Madhuri mam. She is the one who's behind the original song and she deserves all the credit and she has all the rights to get upset with us."
Saroj Refers Madhuri As Her Assistant
As reported in DNA, Saroj Khan had lashed out at BKD team and had said, "Why should they call me? They don't owe me anything? Maybe they felt since my assistant Madhuri Dixit was there, they didn't need me around."
Has She Watched The Song?
When asked about the same, Saroj Khan said, "I haven't seen the whole song. I've just seen the trailer. And I can't comment."
Saroj Khan's Blunt Reply
"You have to ask them why I wasn't invited. I don't mind not being invited....The new version of any of my dance numbers have to be of some standard for them to invite me to watch it."
But Why Saroj Ji Is Away From Choreography Now?
"I worked hard because I needed to look after my children. Now my children don't want me to work. They want me to rest at home. I am happy doing that," had mentioned Saroj Khan.
It's not a rocket science to understand that the makers of Badrinath Ki Dulhania have made her terribly upset Saroj Khan! But we hope the genuine apology from Badri will pacify Saroj Khan after all this!
Not forgetting to mention that the film is all set to release on March 10, 2017.
