The
Film-makers
Wanted
Both
Indian
&
Pakistani
Flag
The
local
farmers,
traders
and
villagers
were
paid
a
substantial
amount
to
cover
up
for
their
losses
as
the
Wagah
border
set
would
be
erected
at
their
vicinity.
But
the
Wagah
border
scene
required
a
Pakistani
flag
to
be
hoisted
and
that's
how
the
controversy
began.
Pakistani
Flag
Hoisted
On
Indian
Soil
Now
all
of
this
was
fine
until
they
hoisted
a
Pakistanti
flag
on
Indian
soil
and
the
villagers
have
not
taken
it
kindly
and
filed
a
police
complaint
against
Salman
Khan
and
Bharat
film-makers
and
even
surrounded
the
sets
and
the
hotel
where
Salman
Khan
was
staying.
The
Villagers
Are
Upset
That
The
Crew
Hoisted
A
Pakistani
Flag
"A
lot
of
local
bodies
were
upset
about
how
someone
could
hoist
Pakistan's
flag
on
Indian
soil.
We
have
had
such
issues
earlier
in
Kashmir
and
in
places
like
Mumbai
as
well,
when
Pakistan
flags
have
been
put
up
during
Ind-Pak
cricket
matches," said
a
source
to
Deccan
Chronicle.
Villagers
Surrounded
Salman
Khan's
Hotel
"Even
though
this
is
for
a
film
shoot,
local
organisations
are
upset
and
have
not
just
filed
a
police
complaint
against
Salman,
but
also
surrounded
the
sets
of
the
film
and
the
hotel
where
Salman
was
staying
to
express
their
indignation
over
the
hoisting
of
the
flag."
It
Was
Just
For
A
Shoot
The
source
stressed
the
fact
that
the
Pakistani
flag
was
hoisted
on
the
sets
as
it
had
to
replicate
the
Wagah
border,
but
the
villagers
showed
their
displeasure.
"After
all
it
is
a
film
shoot,
but
the
locals
refused
to
understand,"
the
source
summed
it
up.
The
Shoot
Has
Been
Completed
However,
despite
all
the
controversies,
Salman
Khan
completed
the
shoot
and
is
now
back
to
Mumbai,
with
a
new
police
case
on
his
sleeves.
