Aishwarya Rai On PS-II: Aishwarya Rai is currently turning heads with her extravagant style statement at Cannes 2023. Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam's PS-II. Her acting and elegance in the film were widely appreciated, and the silver screen definitely wants to see more of her. During a recent interview with Film Companion, Aishwarya opened up about her role in PS-II and also addressed the issue of not getting such 'depth' roles in Hindi cinema.

AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN ON DOING PS-II

Aishwarya was lauded for her role in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus by the interviewer, Anupama Chopra. She further asked the actress why Bollywood isn't offering her roles with such complexities and depth.

Aishwarya after a short pause replied, "Well that's a silent question I think everybody normally ends up asking. We are all creative people, when something turns out so good and feels so right, creatively for the people working on it, as well as for the audience, that's the response it evokes. I think one of the most beautiful and most rewarding moments is when questions like these arise for the actors, the leading ladies..."

The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress further praised Mani Ratnam and said that this is the reason industry people salute Mani Ratnam and directors like him as they create such good works. She added that this was why artists find it a pleasure to work with such directors.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai received rave reviews for her role, Nandini in Ponniyin Selvan 2. Right now, she is attending the 76th Cannes Film Festival. She made an extravagant appearance on Day 3 of the star-studded event. Aishwarya made her Cannes debut in 2002 with the premiere of her film Devdas. Ever since she has been constantly representing L'Oreal Paris at the prestigious film festival.
