Bollywood actor Bobby Deol's mother-in-law Marlene Ahuja passed away on September 3 due to a long-term illness. Bobby is married to Tanya Ahuja, also known as Tanya Deol.

As per a report by Pinkvilla, Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, has already signed up for his second film. He has been roped in to play the lead role in a romantic drama produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. The film will be directed by Kunal Deshmukh and is tentatively titled ‘Diler’. A report in Pinkvilla says, "Ibrahim Ali Khan loved the script and immediately gave his nod. It’s a very balanced, well-written love story that promises to take audiences on a ride filled with love and music. The conversation with Ibrahim has reached a final stage, and he will soon be signing on the dotted line. Ibrahim’s jump from thriller to romance also showcases his versatility as an upcoming performer."

Yesterday, Shah Rukh Khan conducted an interactive session on Twitter and responded to various questions. When a fan asked him if Jawan 2 is on the cards, SRK gave a witty reply. He tweeted, "Pehle yeh waali toh dekh lo….bachche ki jaan loge kya??!! #Jawan."

Ameesha Patel has reacted to Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma's statement in which he said that ‘Sakeena was created from his heart, not hers’. During an interview with News18, Ameesha "For me, Gadar was always about Sunny and for Zee. In fact, Mr. Nitin Kenny (Gadar Ek Prem Katha producer) was the reason I was in Gadar 1, and Mr. Anil Sharma preferred Mamta Kulkarni over me. Anil Sharma wanted Govinda as Tara, but Zee wanted Sunny Deol. So yes, his and my choices are poles apart. Zee Studios and Sunny have always been the reason for me to do Gadar. The script, which was written by Shaktiman ji, as Anil ji always says, also, it was Mr. Shaktiman who created Sakina, not Anil Sharma."

The trailer for Bambai Meri Jaan, starring Kay Kay Menon and Avinash Tiwary, was dropped on Monday. The show is directed by Shujaat Saudagar and takes the audience back to the old city of Bombay in the 1960s. It centres around a duty-bound police officer father and his gangster son. The official tagline of the show reads, "Bambai Meri Jaan chronicles the life of gangster Dara Kadri through the eyes of his father, an ex-cop, Ismail Kadri. In this season, we see how Dara puts everything at stake including his family, as he goes on to become a cold-blooded, fearless gangster who uses his business acumen to fight not only the police and his rivals but also his own demons along the way." Besides Menon and Avinash, the film also stars Saurabh Sachdeva, Kritika Kamra, Nivedita Bhattacharya, and Amyra Dastur in supporting roles. It will premiere on Prime Video from September 14.

Jenna Ortega, who starred in Netflix’s Wednesday, has responded to the recent rumours that she is dating Hollywood actor Johnny Depp. The 20-year-old actress posted a note on Instagram Stories calling the rumours ‘ridiculous’, according to the Daily Mail. The Insta Story is no longer visible. The speculation began by celebrity gossip account Deuxmoi, which claimed that Johnny was in a sequel to Tim Burton's 1988 hit, Beetlejuice, which also stars Jenna Ortega and her second collaboration with her Wednesday director. As reported by the Daily Mail, Jenna on her Stories wrote, "This is so ridiculous I can't even laugh, I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp in my life. Please stop spreading lies and leave us alone." Meanwhile, a representative of Johnny Depp said, "Mr. Depp has no personal or professional relationship with Ms. Ortega whatsoever. He has never met her or spoken to her. He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be. He is appalled by these baseless and malicious rumours that are intended to harm his reputation and career."

One of Bollywood’s most celebrated actors, Rishi Kapoor, would have celebrated his 71st birthday today, September 4. On the occasion, his niece Kareena Kapoor took to Instagram Stories and remembered her Chintu uncle. Anil Sharma’s mass entertainer Gadar, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, has finally entered the 500 crore club at the domestic box office. It is Bollywood’s fastest movie to do so. According to Sacnilk.com, Gadar 2 on day 24 earned Rs 8.50 crore nett in India, taking its total collection to Rs 501.87 crore. The film, released on August 11, went on to become the highest grosser of 2023 and Deol’s biggest hit of his career. The film is a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and also stars Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, and Simrat Kaur in pivotal roles.

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie Jawan’s hype has been amplified after its advance booking promo was showcased at a billboard in the iconic Times Square, New York, on Sunday night in the US, which is Monday early morning in India. A video clip was shared by the Shah Rukh Khan Universe Fan Club group on its social media handles with the caption, "#JAWAN takes over the Times Square - @SRKgaurav1 takes it on air. The king sized celebration of the film by a FAN at the Times Square as we await the storm". The video has now gone viral. Jawan has already sold over 2 lakh tickets and is set to surpass Pathaan's numbers. The film is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on September 7.
