Kiara Advani Struggles To Name South States; Leaves Ram Charan-Rana Daggubati In Splits; Old Video Goes Viral

Kiara Advani has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry through her acting prowess. She made her acting debut with MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and went on to star in several Bollywood as well as South-Indian films.

For one of the South-Indian films, Kiara went on to star with Telugu superstar Ram Charan. The film titled Vinaya Vidheya Rama was released in 2019. For the promotion of the film, they appeared on Rana Daggubati's chat show. A video from the show has resurfaced on Reddit.

The video shows Rana and Ram quizzing Kiara about South Indian states. In the video, Rana tells Ram, "There are a few actresses when they arrived here from North, they didn't even know Telugu was a language.

I worked with such actresses." To this, Kiara replies, "After Bahubali, I don't think anybody who doesn't know (Telugu)."

As soon as Kiara finished, Rana asked Kiara if she knew there were four South Indian states and languages. To which Kiara says, she does. Ram Charan goes on to ask her the names. While she somehow mentions Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. She forgets to mention Kerala, which leaves both Ram and Rana in splits.

The viral video has garnered massive reactions. While some trolled Kiara others called out the actors for not casting local talents. A user wrote, "That should be 5 states, isn't it? And 4 languages. Maybe he slipped up while asking the question...lol.." "Her name is Alia after all," wrote another.

"Kiara was very weird in this episode and it was disrespectful but what I don't get it RC and Rana lamenting about how actresses don't know anything about the southern states and how they have worked with them. I mean, these 2 have so much power in the industry.. why couldn't they actually cast Telugu actresses? Unless it is a highly established actress, most producers will cast a Telugu girl if these men put their foot down. Even Allu Arjun gave speeches about giving chances to Telugu girls but I highly doubt he will follow it up through actions," read a third comment.

Another user said, "Lol how dumb. Seems all the SOBO fall under the same bracket."

Meanwhile, on the professional front, she was last seen in Satyaprem Ki Katha alongside Kartik Aaryan in the lead.
