Anurag Kashyap's Post About Animal Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga Irks A Few Celebs

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal has surely started a lot of debate in the industry and among the audiences. While many feel that Animal is an entertaining film, some have stated that it promotes misogyny, violence, infidelity and many other things that are not good for the society. While a few days ago, Javed Akhtar's statement on the film had gone viral, now Anurag Kashyap's post about Vanga has become the talk of the town.

A couple of days ago, Kashyap posted a picture with Vanga on Instagram, and wrote, "Had a great evening with @sandeepreddy.vanga . The most misunderstood, judged and reviled Filmaker at the moment . To me he is the most honest , vulnerable and a lovely person. I wanted to meet the man and I had questions and he answered every thing I asked of him about his film that I actually saw twice . Thank you for being patient and being yourself m. This is a person you can actually confront and talk to . Pls talk to him about the problems you have with the film . 40'days since i first saw ANIMAL and 22 days since I saw it the second time . The biggest game changer of Hindi cinema in the longest time and a film whose impact (good or bad) which can't be denied . And the filmmaker who takes it all on his chin . Great evening spent with him."

Well, celebs like Avinash Tiwary, Varun Grover, and Neeraj Ghaywan are not much happy with Anurag's post.

Avinash commented, "Judged,honest and lovely human being maybe but misunderstood and reviled am not sure. I think he is fairly successful in the kind of response he has been able to generate. Great for an Artist but Extremely Unfortunate for the naive audience. We need good Artists but we need better audience and that includes all of us." Varun commented, "No" on the post and Neeraj wrote, "Cringe."

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's last film Kabir Singh, which was a remake of his Telugu movie Arjun Reddy, was also embroiled in controversies as many felt that it prmoted misogyny and violence in a relationship. Animal has received reactions from critics and the audiences. While some have loved it, some felt it wasn't a good movie.

Well, Animal has collected Rs. 552.81 crore at the box office in India, and now, everyone is eagerly waiting for the sequel to the film titled Animal Park.
