The team shot the film in the real locations of Sehore, located in Madhya Pradesh, and also added real-life villagers and locations as part of the film. Presented by Jio Studios, 'Laapataa Ladies' is directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande. The film is releasing on March 1st, 2024, and has been made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, with the script based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay and dialogue are written by Sneha Desai, while the additional dialogues have been jotted down by Divyanidhi Sharma.

Dhrupad singer Laxman Bhatt Tailang, who was recently conferred with a Padma Shri, died at a private hospital here on Saturday. He was 95. Tailang was admitted to the hospital where he was being treated for chest infection. He passed away this morning and his funeral was held at Brahmpuri area, his family said. A classical music maestro, Tailang was credited for creating 'Pachrang', a new form of singing. He was born into the family of Dhrupad exponents and his father was the famous Dhrupad singer Pandit Madho Bhatt Tailang. Tailang also taught classical music at Banasthali Vidyapith and Rajasthan Music Institute.

Since his acting debut in 1960 with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere, he has been known to us as Dharmendra. However, with the release of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, a significant change to his name has come to light. The film premiered in theaters today, February 9, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in leading roles. In this film, the veteran actor portrays Shahid’s grandfather, referred to as Dada. The opening credits revealed that Dharmendra has opted to include his middle and surname given at birth. He is credited as Dharmendra Singh Deol in the film. For those unfamiliar, Dharmendra was originally named Dharam Singh Deol, according to a report by Hindustan Times.

Siddharth Anand reacted to the controversy surrounding Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's kiss in Fighter. The makers received a legal notice over the kiss in the film. "This film has gone through meticulous procedures with the IAF, right from the submission of the script, to the production planning, viewing the film before the censor saw it on the censor board, watching it again at the IAF, reviewing the film after the censor, and then giving us a physical copy of the NOC No Objection Certificate," Siddharth told Times Of India.

The upcoming film ‘Lahore, 1947’ produced by Aamir Khan Productions is indeed one of the most anticipated films to come out of Indian cinema. The periodic film boasts one of the most prominent and creative names in the entertainment industry, as the trio of Sunny Deol, Rajkumar Santoshi, and Aamir Khan are teaming up for the first time for this film. Well, apart from this, the director has also brought the extremely talented Santosh Sivan as the DOP and cameraman of Lahore 1947. While speaking about the cameraman/DOP, Rajkumar Santoshi shares, "We will have Santosh Sivan as the cameraman/DOP of Lahore 1947. He is the top most cameraman in the country right now. Before this, Santosh and I worked together in two films, Pukar and Barsaat in which he was cinematographer/cameraman. Interestingly, Santosh directed a film titled 'Halo' and that was the only film I acted in. We share decades of relationships with each other and this time we are reuniting with Lahore 1947. Given this impressive track record with such a talented bunch of people coming together for the film, it's only natural to anticipate that ‘Lahore, 1947’ will be nothing short of a cinematic marvel. The shoot begins from 12th February.

The film has earned a little over Rs 7 crore on its first day at the box office

Kriti Sanon spoke about playing a humanoid in her recent release Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya. In a recent interview, she said, "I won't say that I went through any strenuous training for the role, but I was super conscious during the shooting because I had to maintain a strong balance between not being too human or being too robotic. We found that balance and needn't always second guess. I would always joke with Shahid that he gets to give so many expressions while I could not even if I wanted to."

Bhumi Pednekar's latest crime thriller titled Bakshak, written and directed by Pulkit; and produced by Gauri Khan, hit the OTT platform Netflix on February 9. The movie follows the journey of a journalist who puts her life at stake to expose the sexual atrocities committed by politicians on orphan children. The movie is getting a decent response with appreciation pouring in for Bhumi Pednekar.
