ENT Highlights: Rohit Shetty Talks About Golmaal 5; Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya Trailer Is OUT

Atom-bomb epic “Oppenheimer” leads the race for the British Academy Film Awards, with nominations in 13 categories including best film. Gothic fantasia “Poor Things” received 11 nominations on the list announced Thursday, while historical epic “Killers of the Flower Moon” and Holocaust drama “The Zone of Interest” had nine each. Other leading contenders include French courtroom drama “Anatomy of a Fall” school story “The Holdovers” and Leonard Bernstein biopic “Maestro” with seven nominations each. Exploration of love and grief “All of Us Strangers” was nominated in six categories and class-war dramedy “Saltburn” in five. “Barbie”, one half of 2023's “Barbenheimer” box office juggernaut, also got five nominations but missed out on a best picture nod. The winners will be announced at a February 18 ceremony at London's Royal Festival Hall hosted by “Doctor Who” star David Tennant.

Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya trailer was dropped on Thursday. Kriti Sanon plays a robot in this unusual romantic film. The trailer promises to be full of a rollercoaster of emotions. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar, the film is directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. It is slated to release this Valentine's Week on February 9.

Hina Khan starrer Country of Blind, along with two other Indian films 2018 and 12th Fail, get included in the nomination list for the Oscars 2024. The film will now compete with Hollywood biggies like Barbie, Oppenheimer, and Killers of the Flower Moon. Reacting to the feat, Hina Khan recently said, “To be featured on the same list as films like Oppenheimer, directed by Christopher Nolan, and Barbie is a huge achievement for our film Country of Blind! This is a moment of pride for the entire team of Country of Blind. Everybody is very happy, as a lot of hard work was put into making this film into the best product that we could.”

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan have earned multiple nominations in Vulture's 2023 Annual Stunt Awards, along with films like Keanu Reeves' John Wick 4 and Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning. While SRK’s Jawan receives a nomination in the categories of Best Stunt in an Action Film & Best Vehicular Stunt, respectively, for (The HighwayChase), Pathaan is nominated for Best Aerial Stunt (The Jet-Pack Fight). Both films, Jawan and Pathaan, also got nominations in the overall Best Film category.

Netflix on Thursday said its upcoming film "Bhakshak", starring Bhumi Pednekar, will start streaming on the platform from February 9. Inspired by true events, the film is a Red Chillies Entertainment production, directed by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma. According to the makers, "Bhakshak" explores the journey of an unwavering woman's quest to seek justice. It also features Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, and Sai Tamhankar. Pednekar stars as Vaishali Singh, an investigative journalist who wants to bring to light a heinous crime, laying bare the ground reality of crimes against women. Check out the teaser.

Actor Pranutan Bahl on Thursday said sheis set to feature in her maiden Hollywood feature "Coco & Nut", opposite American actor-filmmaker Rahsaan Noor. Billed as a "spirit-lifting romance", the love story is directed by Rahsaan, best known for his 2018 critically acclaimed movie "Bengali Beauty". It is slated to release in 2025. "I've always wanted to do a romantic drama. 'Coco & Nut' is a beautiful story in which my character, Nut, journeys through a transformative phase in her life. I'm so grateful that I would make my international debut with a movie like that," the actor said in a statement. In "Coco & Nut", Pranutan plays an ambitious young woman fighting to save her marriage who gets a pick me up from her know-it-all college sweetheart, essayed by Rahsaan. The film, primarily in English with some Hindi dialogues, is written by Rahsaan and Raghav Murali, with additional screenplay by Priyamvada Singh. Rahsaan said he is excited to bring out a poignant love story that will resonate with people across the world. According to the press statement, production of "Coco & Nut" will begin from June in Chicago, with cast and crew from both the US and India. The film is produced by Hamilton Moving Pictures' Chad Shields, alongside Ranjith Rajasekharan and Raghav Murali. Co-financing the project are Rahsaan's Ziryab Films, Henry Leong's Macuverse, and executive producers Mashruk Zahid and Lasaly Changkachith.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas held a special puja for their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas' 2nd birthday in LA. Priyanka posted a bunch of photos from the special day when the family was seen together at a temple seeking blessings. PC’s mother, Dr Madhu Chopra, was also a part of the puja. Looking at the response, I will have to make it a little soon. I think you will get Golmaal 5 in the next 2 years. There are so many fans of Golmaal, and I am making this brand for the fans. The next Golmaal film has to be bigger, and better though it’s a comedy franchise".
