Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare wedding reception: Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan, and her longtime beau, Nupur Shikhare, got their marriage registered in Mumbai on January 3 amidst the presence of their close friends and family members, including Aamir's ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, Imran Khan, Mithila Palkar, and others.
Following the fun yet intimate ceremony, a dinner was held at the Taj Lands End. As per reports, the two will have a grand traditional wedding in Udaipur on January 8, after which a reception party will take place on January 13 in Mumbai for their industry peers.
Bollywood celebs to attend the Ira-Nupur reception
According to a report by India Today, after the lavish Maharashtrian-style Udaipur wedding, a reception will be hosted on January 13 at the BKC Jio Centre. Aamir Khan has been a part of the film fraternity for a very long time and maintains a cordial and friendly relationship with his co-stars and others.
Going by that, who's who from Bollywood and the political world has been invited to bless the newlywed couple. Ira Khan's reception will be a starry affair as several friends and colleagues of Aamir Khan, including Salman, Shah Rukh, Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani, Ashutosh Gowarikar, and Juhi Chawla, among many others, have been invited.
Reportedly, Aamir has also extended the invitation to the Ambani family, and celebrities from the south film industries have also been invited to grace the reception in Mumbai.
Destination wedding in Udaipur
As per India Today, Aamir is expected to reach Udaipur on Friday with his family. It's also being said that a few prominent stars and personalities might be a part of Ira and Nupur's wedding festivities.
The functions will take place at the Taj Aravali Resorts, where about 176 hotel rooms have been booked. Around 250 people are expected to attend the wedding. Families and guests will start arriving at the venue on January 7. The three-day celebration will conclude on January 10.
Aamir has booked a presidential glass box suite for himself, which gives a panoramic view of the scenic beauty of Udaipur.
Talking about Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare, the couple had been dating for over three years before getting legally married. They got engaged in November 2022, just after a year of dating each other.
