Kiara Advani Filmfare Awards: The prestigious 69th Filmfare Awards 2024 was a starry affair as who's who of Bollywood turned up at Gujarat's Gandhinagar, keeping their fashion quotient high.
Many Bollywood actors, including Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Marunal Thakur and more celebs, were in attendance. The popular gala was hosted by Karan Johar and saw electrifying performances by many B'town celebrities.
The ceremony honoured several celebs and artists for their remarkable performances and work last year. Alia Bhatt bagged the trophy for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Popular) for her performance in Karan Johar's romantic family drama Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
While the actress's fans are overjoyed by this achievement, some netizens feel that it is undeserving. Many took to social media to call out Filmafre for being rigged.

Soon after Alia Bhatt was bestowed with the best actress award, angry netizens took to X and started trending Kiara Advani. A section of internet users expressed their displeasure over Alia's winning the award and stated that Kiara Adavni should have won it for Satyaprem Ki Katha.
Many alleged that Filmafre is rigged as they snubbed Shah Rukh Khan as the actor delivered three blockbusters in 2023. Some even said that either Rani Mukerji for Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway or Tappsee Pannu for Dunki should have gotten the award as they were far better than Alia.

Besides Alia, Bhumi Pednekar for Thank You For Coming, Kiara Advani for Deepika Padukone for Pathaan, and Rani Mukerji for Mrs Chaterjee Vs Norway were also nominated in the Best Actress category.
While Alia was awarded Best Actress (Popular), Shefali Shah (Three Of Us) and Rani Mukerji (Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway) shared the Best Actress (Critics) award.
