Today
this
day
world
NGO
Day
symbolizes
and
recognises
the
efforts
and
contributions
of
all
those
working
for
the
betterment
of
society.
It
is
a
day
to
recognise
and
thank
all
the
foot
soldiers
in
the
field
making
a
difference
in
the
lives
of
so
many.
It
also
seems
fitting
to
look
back
at
the
journey
of
the
Nargis
Dutt
Foundation.
The
foundation
was
set
up
in
1981
with
the
purpose
of
creating
awareness
about
cancer
and
helping
those
in
need.
Now,
42
years
later,
a
lot
of
things
have
changed,
our
family
at
NDF
has
grown,
and
there
is
more
help
and
love
from
the
people.
Today
There
is
more
awareness
of
cancer
with
more
accessibility
to
treatment.
At
NDF
we
have
the
pleasure
of
working
with
various
other
NGOs
and
have
built
our
own
little
network
which
allows
us
to
provide
help
and
support
to
those
in
need
from
all
parts
of
India.
Looking
back
at
our
long
journey,
it
humbles
me
to
see
how
much
we
have
grown
and
have
been
able
to
make
a
difference
in
so
many
lives.
For
us,
every
life
matters...I
hope
that
this
love
and
support
we
see
continues
to
grow,
I
Will
end
with
a
few
lines
from
a
poem
by
Robert
Frost
"the
woods
are
lovely
dark
and
deep,
But
I
have
promises
to
keep
And
many
miles
before
I
sleep
And
many
miles
before
I
sleep"
