Bigg Boss OTT 2: Bollywood actor Salman Khan who has been hosting Bigg Boss, the most controversial reality shows for a long time now, is all set to make his digital debut with the OTT version of the show.

Bigg Boss OTT 2, one of the most awaited digital shows is all set for the grand premiere tonight. The buzz surrounding the show went a notch higher since it was announced that Salman Khan would take over hosting duties. While fans were unable to contain their excitement, they also wanted to the reason why Karan Johar was replaced from the show.

SALMAN KHAN OPENS UP ON HOSTING BIGG BOSS OTT 2

Now, Salman Khan during a recent press conference for the show shared insights into why the filmmaker did not return as the host for the show. The Bajrangi Bhaijaans star revealed, "Karan Johar and Farah Khan were not available to host the show. They were very busy. Hence, I had to do the OTT version."

Well, the hosting of the previous season was done by Farah Khan and Karan Johar had received mixed reviews from viewers as they felt the hosts were biased towards a few contestants.

Salman Khan further emphasized maintaining cultural values in the OTT version of the show and said that he will control everything on his own and won't allow too much uncensored or unfiltered content. The actor was quoted, "I won't allow anything that goes against our culture to happen on the OTT platform. I hope the show is not too much uncensored or unfiltered. If anything happens, I will control everything on my own."

He also told ANI, "Main OTT pe bhi kuch aisa nahin hone dunga jo culture ke khilaaf hai (I won't let anyone do something that is against our culture)... I think guidelines have also been implemented on OTT, leading to the content's improvement."

Meanwhile, Bigg Boss OTT 2 is set to stream on Jio Cinema from today, June 17. The confirmed names of the contestants as of now include Akanksha Puri, Aaliyah Siddiqui, Avinash Sachdev, Falaq Naaz, Cyrus Broacha, Manisha Rani, Jiya Shankar, Abhishek Malhan.
