Exclusive! Shilpa Shetty On Being The First Female Cop In Rohit's Cop Universe, "I Don't Have Any Pressure"

Rohit Shetty is all set to make his OTT directorial debut with Indian Police Force which is slated to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 19th January 2024. The series stars Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi. While Rohit had introduced Deepika Padukone as the first female cop in his cop universe, technically, Shilpa is actually the first female cop in the filmmaker's cop-verse.

Filmibeat recently interacted with Shilpa and when asked her if she feels pressure about being the first female cop in Rohit Shetty's cop universe, the actress said, "I don't have any pressure, whoever is going to come after me should feel pressure (laughs) . I feel I have done my best. How to justify Tara Shetty that's in Rohit's hands. It's his baby; we just play a character, but it's a role written by him."

"So, I really hope I have done justice to Tara and what other characters will come in the cop universe those will be justified for the parts written for those actors. So, you can't compare two characters. You cannot compare a Sooryavanshi to a Simmba or a Singham; they are all different and I think that's the duty of Rohit's cop verse," she added.

When asked if we can get to see Tara Shetty in Singham Again or any other Rohit Shetty cop film, the actress said, "This question you should ask to Rohit Shetty, you are asking it to the wrong Shetty." When probed if she would like to be a part of it, Shilpa said, "Of course, why not!"

Well, everyone is quite excited for Indian Police Force as it is the first big series to come out this year. As it's a Rohit Shetty series the expectations from it are quite high. So, let's wait and watch what response the series will get.
