We
all
have
a
naughty
side
of
our
character,
Don't
we?
Yet
we
shy
away
from
the
word
'sex'.
In
a
country
like
India,
where
'sex'
is
a
complete
'no'
'no',
comedy
adds
the
selling
factor
to
it.
Ekta
Kapoor's
latest
release
Kya
Super
Kool
Hai
Hum,
featuring
Riteish
Deshmukh
and
Tusshar
Kapoor,
brings
the
sex
comedy
genre
back
into
focus.
Hindi
films
with
a
lot
of
slang
and
expletives,
have
so
far
captured
the
audiences'
imagination.
Kya
Super
Kool
Hain
Hum
too
relies
on
its
cool
and
naughty
quotient,
that
doesn't
require
any
logic,
yet
has
the
ability
to
pull
a
major
youth
population
to
the
theatres.
Movie
Rating:
What
is
the
story
all
about?
Kya
Super
Kool
Hai
Hum's
revolves
around
the
story
of
two
brothers:
Adi
(Tushar
Kapoor)
and
Sid
(Riteish
Deshmukh).
Adi
is
a
struggling
actor,
who
dreams
of
making
a
grand
debut
in
Bollywood
with
films
like
'Chingham',
Adidas
(Devdas).
Sid
(Riteish
Deshmukh)'s
DJing
skills
are
wasted
on
sad
Gujarati-gone-wild
parties.
According
to
an
astrologer,
Adi's
fortunes
will
turn
when
he
meets
the
love
of
his
life,
Simi
(Neha
Sharma).
Then,
love
strucks
when
Adi
meets
Simi
and
falls
head
over
heels
in
love
with
her.
On
the
other
hand,
Sid
meets
model
Anu
(Sarah
Jane
Dias)
at
a
fashion
show,
where
Anu
suffers
a
"wardrobe
malfunction." Things
turn
ugly,
yet
funny
after
they
land
up
in
Goa.
Next,
what
happens?
Watch

the
remaining
part.
Performances:
After
delivering
hits
like
Heyy
Babyy,
Housefull
series,
comedy
is
no
new
business
for
Riteish
Deshmukh.
Riteish
seems
to
have
mastered
the
art
of
making
people
cackle
and
that's
what
he
proves
in
the
film.
Riteish
does
a
great
job
in
the
movie,
especially
his
facial
expressions
work
as
an
added
enticement.
Tusshar
Kapoor
is
known
for
his
impeccable
comic
timing.
We
have
so
far
seen
his
dumb
acts
in
the
Golmaal
series,
that
has
impressed
the
audiences
a
lot.
He
does
an
incredible
job
in
the
film.
Sarah
Jane
Dias
and
Neha
Sharma
doesn't
add
much
to
the
film,
apart
from
lending
a
toned
body
and
a
pretty
face.
Anupam
Kher
as
a
billionare
is
very
funny
and
amusing.
Chunky
Pandey
has
shown
us
a
funnier
bone
with
his
'Akhri
Pasta' act
in
Housefull
2.
But
this
time,
Pandey's
comedy
looks
brainless
and
over-the-top.
Positives:
Riteish
Deshmukh
and
Tusshar
Kapoor
delivers
good
performances.
There
are
scenes
that
might
leave
you
laugh
your
socks
off
mindlessly.
The
songs
'Dil
Garden
Garden
Ho
Gaya',
'Shirt
Da
Button'
and
'UP
Bihar
Lootne'
are
wonderful
tracks.
Negatives:
There
are
certain
sickeningly
dirty
jokes
and
one-liners,
one
of
which
was
when
Tusshar
says,
"Aaj
mere
shareer
ka
sirf
ek
hissa
kaala
hai
(Just
one
part
of
my
body
is
black)".
The
female
leads,
Sarah
Jane
Dias
and
Neha
Sharma
goes
waste
in
the
film.
VERDICT:
On
the
whole,
Kya
Super
Kool
Hai
Hum
is
average.
If
you
like
the
naughty
jokes
and
a
lover
of
madcap
entertainment,
Kya
Super
Kool
Hai
Hum
will
surely
not
disappoint
you.
