If
you
are
seriously
planning
for
Sajid
Khan's
Himmatwala
this
weekend,
here's
a
warning
for
you
-
Do
not
spoil
your
next
two
days.
This
movie
has
all
the
ingredients
to
make
you
go
lunatic.
Yes,
I'm
certainly
not
exaggerating
as
I
mean
it.
We
understand
the
need
of
funny,
light-hearted
movies
these
days,
amidst
our
busy
schedule,
but
this
(
Himmatwala)
is
more
of
a
torture
than
any
sort
of
entertainment.
Story
Himmatwala
features
Ajay
Devgn
and
Tamanna
Bhatia
in
the
leads
and
is
a
remake
of
the
1983
blockbuster
of
the
same
name,
directed
by
K
Raghavendra
Rao
starring
Jeetendra
and
Sridevi.
Himmatwala
revolves
around
the
story
of
a
poor
and
wronged
woman's
son,
who
returns
from
the
big
city
to
avenge
his
father,
a
honest
school
teacher.
No
wonder,
Sajid
Khan
tries
to
bring
back
the
boisterous
melodrama
of
80s
with
the
remake,
but
unfortunately,
he
doesn't
even
succeed
to
do
anything
good
for
the
film.
Himmatwala
is
a
'BAD,
BAD'
film,
which
is
full
of
over-the-top
acting,
irritating
melodrama,
lame
jokes,
mindless
entertainment
and
a
few
awkward
dance
steps.
Positives
Honestly,
even
after
thinking
deep
and
hard,
I
fail
to
spot
even
a
single
positive
point
about
the
film.
Performances
I
fail
to
understand
that
after
doing
such
great
films
like
Zakhm,
Omkara,
Hum
Dil
De
Chuke
Sanam,
what
prompted
Devgn
to
sign
this
illogical
project?
Well,
let's
come
back
to
the
point.
Talking
about
the
performances,
I
know
I
might
get
battered
by
the
Devgn
fans
for
this,
but
just
can't
help,
but
criticise
Mr
Devgn
for
making
a
joke
of
himself
in
the
movie.
And,
then
comes
Tamanna
Bhatia.
I
feel,
she's
beautiful,
but
she's
nowhere
close
to
the
legendary
Sridevi.
Verdict
On
the
whole,
I
would
suggest,
even
if
you
get
a
free
ticket
for
Himmatwala,
please
do
not
take
the
risk
and
give
it
a
big
miss.
Honestly,
I
still
can't
believe
that
I'm
in
my
fine
senses
after
watching
the
nonsensical
Himmatwala.
