Horror Story Movie Review: Hold On To Your Seats For A Spooky Show

Vikram Bhatt's Horror Story which is out in the theatres today, September 13, sends chills down the spine. The movie which revolves around seven youngsters trapped in an abandoned haunted hotel is spooky and terrifies you that sometimes you may find yourself holding on to your seat or your very tightly.

This Horror Story brings out the the eerie feeling in the cinema hall. Vikram Bhatt tries to bring in various aspects that fit into a horror genre and he has knit them all together quite well. In the initial parts of the movie we see that the youngsters in the film begin to experience weird things such as an empty wheel chair moving, a girl singing ringa ringa roses etc. This are some tiny moments that add to the building-up of the plot.

In Vikram Bhatt's previous movies of the same genre did bring in other elements of Bollywood such as songs, romance etc. However, in Horror Story, we see that he has refrained from such masala aspects. However, you may find yourself questioning a few scenes such as the re-emergence of the hotel owner but this can be ignored thanks to the spooky show put on by the makers and actors.

For the those who love to watch horror flicks, this will be a perfect getaway to the horror world. It has lived up to the expectations an individual will have for a horror genre. You will surely not complain watching this movie on this Friday, the 13th.

Story

This film which is helmed by director Ayush Rain revolves around seven youngsters who stay at an abandoned hotel on a fateful night. That night turns horrendous as the film progresses and the ghost in this haunted hotel goes on a killing spree.

Cast

Horror Story brings to us new faces.The lead roles in the movie are played by Karan Kundra, Nishant Malkani, Ravish Desai, Hasan Zaidi, Aparna Bajpai, Radhika Menon, Nandini Vaid and Sheetal Singh. 

The Eerie Effect

The balance between the lighting and the background music has been executed well. All these elements add up in bring an eerie feeling throughout the film.

Edge Of The Seat

The scenes have been captured well through the brilliant cinematography. The entire movie which is One and a half hour long keeps you in the edge of your seat.

New Faces

Although the filmmakers have a brought to us new faces in the movie, we can spot talent in the movie.  Almost all of them have a done a decent job by keeping the vision of the director and writer.

Heart Thumping

In  this movie still of Horror Story, we can see the tension that has been built up in the plot. We say go for this promising Vikram Bhatt movie.
