Shootout At Wadala Movie Review: Watch out John's incredible act

Time and again, we have witnessed Bollywood's fascination for some most grittiest, realistic and memorable gangster flicks. With movies like Vaastav, Gangs Of Wasseypur, Zilla Ghaziabad, Satya, Company and many more, Bollywood has each time successfully brought alive the gangster formula onscreen. The underworld saga in Bollywood continues with filmmaker Sanjay Gupta's latest release Shootout At Wadala, that features John Abraham, Kangna Ranaut, Anil Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor in the leads.

The movie Shoot At Wadala is an action crime drama and a prequel to 2007 hit film Shootout at Lokhandwala. Based on the life of the 80s' gangster Manya Surve, Shootout At Wadala dramatises the first-ever registered encounter of gangster Surve, by the Mumbai Police.

The movie will see John Abraham, playing Surve's role onscreen. The story revolves around Surve aka John getting life term imprisonment for a crime that was not committed by him. Manya, along with his fellow prisoner Sheikh Munir (Tusshar), escapes from jail and forms his own gang and challenges the diggis of underworld Dilawar Imtiyaz Haskar (Sonu Sood) and his brother Zubair Imtiyaz Haskar (Manoj Bajpayee).

With the increasing power, Manya becomes a threat to the police ACP Ishaque Bagwan (Anil Kapoor). Now both Dilawar and Zubair wants to kill Manya; ACP Ishaque Bagwan shares the same intention. Shootout At Wadala is definitely an honest attempt that chronicles Manya's eccentric life from a righteous simpleton to a bloodcurdling monster.
