Bobby 'Jasoos' is all set to dig out your secrets and with unique disguises that Vidya Balan takes in, you are sure to fall into her trap.
Yes, much awaited flick Bobby Jasoos starring Vidya Balan in lead has hit the theatres today and the actress has yet again hit the bull's eye as far as her acting is concerned.
Vidya Balan who plays the role of a lady detective in Bobby Jasoos might not have impressed her on-screen father with her jasoosi (spying) in the initial stage of the film but Vidya has definitely impressed us with her flawless acting and superb comic timing.
The film Bobby Jasoos tells the story of a girl in Hyderabad who aspires to become a big time detective, of course against the will of her family and has been waiting for her big break.
While, Vidya's father shares a bad kinship all throughout the film with Vidya due to her passion for jasoosi, Vidya was almost fed up of getting petty cases. Until Vidya gets her big break as an unknown client offers Vidya to solve a mysterious case and then starts the adventure.
Meanwhile, the film Bobby Jasoos also has a romantic side for which Vidya shares the screen space with Ali Fazal. In spite of the age difference, Vidya and Ali's chemistry in the beautiful city of Hyderabad pushes an additional charm for the viewers.
But the best aspects in the movie Bobby Jasoos undoubtedly revolves around talented Vidya and her unique looks. It is to be mentioned Vidya has roped in as many as 22 different looks in the film and Vidya carries all the appearances with great fun and comfort.
Vidya has yet again proved her worth with her fabulous acting and sharp comic timing. Ali also did all justice with is role and complimented Vidya well in the film.
However, with courtesy to her last movie Kahaani, expectations from Vidya Balan's films have grown up a long way and to be fair, Bobby Jasoos fails to carry forward the same excitement and interest like it was in Kahaani all through.
As a matter of fact, first half of the film Bobby Jasoos moves with a good pace and fun but the second half seems relatively sluggish. And the climax of the movie is certainly the biggest drawback as the film ends very abruptly keeping many questions unanswered.
To mention some of the loopholes, Vidya's father who remained annoyed with Vidya all through the film suddenly regains his affection for Vidya without any good reason. Secondly, the director Samar shaikh did not bother to show any clear result of Vidya and Ali's love story and as usual, the songs in the film seemed too forced and unnecessary.
Nevertheless, Vidya Balan's Bobby Jasoos is a delight to watch, except for those who hold too much expectation from the film considering Vidya's last hit Kahaani.
