Haider Viewers' Movie Review

Haider starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Tabu, Kay Kay Menon and Irrfan Khan has been brilliantly directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The thought behind the way the story has been structured, the emotions captured and the screenplay of the movie is simply commendable but the weakness lies in the seriousness of the story and characters.

When a viewer walks into the theatre to watch a movie, he/she expects to have a good time, art movies are appreciated too but something that ensures us a good time too. If I have to pick a fault in the movie I can't, but yet at the the end of those three hours I am left unsatisfied.

The beginning of the story is good and crisp but as the plot moves, it slows down, it keeps you glued to the seats but tests your patience as well when the plot gets stuck. The actors have showcased brilliant performances but the stars of the show are definitely Tabu and Shahid Kapoor.

Some scenes were not needed, some scenes were dragged but somehow through all this if you manage to keep a little patience and watch the movie, there is a treat for you. The climax scene, the last 20 minutes of the story is gripping and intriguing . One could never possibly predict the ending of the movie, it is a little gruesome and gory but a damn brilliant end to this artistic movie.

Haider has been shot on a small budget of just 24 crores, but the product that you have received is really worth it. It's like when you are really thirsty all you need is a simple glass of water and not an expensive cocktail to quench you thirst.

Haider had a tough competitor which was the reason it had only 60% occupancy rate in theaters. Here is viewers opinion, people who saw the movie share their opinion on the same.
