The fresh new release is inspired from the 80s and 90s leading concept, eloping! The movie which marks the debut of Armaan Jain and Deeksha Seth is a cute love story which is set in a typical Bollywood style. The movie marks the directorial debut of Arif Ali who is the younger brother of hit filmmaker, Imtiaz Ali. It is produced by Saif Ali Khan.

The Story Goes Like This...

Two young South-Indian college students elope as Karishma Shetty (played by Deeksha) is scared that her parents will get her married, and she doesn't want to become a Shetty Bahu in some family. You get to see some college fun in the beginning plus that mesmerising and energetic song Khalifa, till Karishma decides to elope so as to not get married to the guy her father has selected. Thus, she elopes with her classmate Dinoo (played by Armaan), to escape marital pressure from her rich businessman dad.

Both Karishma and Dinoo enjoy as friends after escaping from Mumbai to Goa. While having loads of fun on their way to Goa, Karishma and Dinoo gradually realise that they are in love with each other. It is like a happy love story in the first half as they even get hitched. The hush-hush wedding is just to ensure that whenever they get caught, they are not separated by her family.

However, money plays its game and they even get grounded by the Naxalites. This takes a twist in the movie and shows the struggle of the couple. Moreover, the problems of a married life starts coming in their lives once romance starts fading away. Now what happens with the sweet madly-in-love couple is something that you need to watch out.

In short, Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is a cute romantic drama which is entertaining. AR Rahman's music, the exotic locations and the fresh new star cast makes it a nice movie.
