Katti
Batti
starring
Imran
Khan
and
Kanagana
Ranaut
in
lead
roles,
directed
by
Nikhil
Advani
releases
worldwide
today.
A
lot
is
riding
on
this
movie
since
Imran
Khan
is
back
in
action
after
a
huge
gap
of
2
years,
second
Kangana
Ranaut's
overconfidence
with
her
films
post
few
hits
and
last
but
not
the
least,
Nikhil's
last
movie,
Hero
not
being
a
success.
So
let's
see
what
Katti
Batti
beholds.
Cast:
Imran
Khan,
Kangana
Ranaut
Director:
Nikhil
Advani
Katti
Batti
Story:
The
movie
opens
with
the
scene
of
Madhav
Kabra
(Imran
Khan)
drinking
phenol,
his
friend
and
sister
taking
him
to
hospital
in
order
to
save
his
life.
When
they
take
him
back
home,
starts
a
flashback
of
Madhav
and
Payal's
(Kangana
Ranaut)
love
story.
Then
follows
a
typical
rom-com
of
the
boy
meets
girl,
the
two
fall
in
love,
they
move
into
live-in
relationship
and
then
crops
up
the
innumerable
differences
which
ruin
their
love
story.
Due
to
some
unexpected
twists
and
turn,
Payal
ends
up
leaving
Madhav,
will
the
lovers
reunite
or
not,
why
she
left
him
forms
the
crux
of
the
story.
Performances:
Imran
Khan
who
is
seen
on
the
silver
screen
after
a
huge
gap,
doesn't
do
anything
different
in
the
movie.
It
is
a
typical
Imran
Khan
role
that
we
have
seen
him
enact
in
all
his
typical
rom-com
movies,
there
is
nothing
new
that
he
brings
to
the
plate.
Coming
to
Kangana
who
has
been
oozing
over-confidence
in
her
media
interviews
manages
to
give
a
decent
performance.
Unfortunately
we
do
not
seen
her
more
on
the
big
screen
which
disappoints
us
but
she
has
managed
to
hold
her
stand.
Technicalities:
Nikhil
Advani
has
done
it
again,
after
Hero,
he
has
managed
to
screw
up
another
movie.
Katti
Batti
turns
out
to
a
boring
old
tale
that
ends
up
confusing
you
in
a
lot
of
places.
A
lot
of
flaws
that
can't
be
overlooked,
somewhere
it
feels
like
Nikhil
made
this
movie
just
for
the
sake
of
making
a
movie,
no
logic,
no
screenplay,
practically
nothing
worthy
of
talking
about.
Katti
Batti
reminds
you
of
the
Hollywood
film,
Sweet
November!
Just
a
failed
desi
mashup
of
this
Hollywood
flick.
Verdict:
Katti
Batti
will
simply
bore
you!
Either
you'll
spend
your
time
crying
over
all
the
sad
scenes
or
the
fact
that
you
bought
the
movie
tickets.
Katti
Batti
can
be
missed,
watch
at
your
own
risk!
