We
have
always
been
curious
regarding
the
film
industry,
be
it
the
actors,
behind-the-scene
facts
or
about
their
personal
lives.
No
matter
how
much
the
media
and
journalists
reveal
it
all
in
the
format
of
gossips
and
stories,
there
are
certain
aspects
we
are
not
aware
of.
The
movie
Shamitabh
is
about
that
dark
side
of
film
industry
that
exposes
the
jealousy
of
the
actors
or
their
greed
for
stardom.
Now
we
are
not
saying
it
contains
real-life
stories,
but
it
shows
a
side
of
the
film
industry
that
we
are
not
aware
of.
Cast:
Amitabh
Bachchan,
Dhanush
and
Akshara
Haasan
Director:
R.
Balki
The
concept
of
the
movie
in
itself
is
different
and
the
stars
of
the
movie
have
played
their
parts
really
well
to
put
across
that
concept
on
the
big
screen.
Amitabh
Sinha
(Amitabh
Bachchan)
is
an
alcoholic
who
once
had
dreams
of
becoming
an
actor
and
making
it
big,
while
Danish
(Dhanush)
is
a
deaf
and
mute
person
who
comes
from
a
small
town
to
Mumbai
city
with
the
dreams
of
becoming
a
superstar.
The
two
characters
are
in
complete
contrast
with
each
other,
what
Danish
lacks
in
voice,
he
makes
up
for
it
with
his
talent
and
energy,
while
Amitabh
has
nothing
but
his
heavy
and
rich
baritone
voice.
Debutante
Akshara
Haasan
plays
the
role
of
a
director
who
makes
use
of
a
technology
from
Finland
and
combines
the
talents
of
Amitabh
and
Danish
to
make
a
perfect
recipe
for
stardom.
The
duo
give
themselves
the
name
of
Shamitabh
and
it's
their
chemistry
that
keeps
the
audiences
hooked
to
the
film.
Their
bittersweet
bond
that
is
topped
with
jealousy
and
the
greed
to
outdo
each
other
is
what
forms
the
rest
of
the
plot.
Their
to
and
fro
spats
are
fun,
especially
Amitabh's
sarcastic
taunts
towards
Danish
like
when
he
says,
"This
voice
will
sound
nice
even
if
it
came
out
of
a
dog!" Danish
is
no
less,
he
ducks
all
these
comments
well
and
gives
it
back
in
his
own
way.
There
are
a
lot
of
satirical
scenes
on
Bollywood
as
well.
Performances:
There
are
no
words
to
describe
Amitabh
Bachchan's
performance
because
once
you
see
the
movie,
you'll
realize
how
there
could
not
have
been
a
better
person
to
pull
off
the
role.
Dhanush,
on
the
other
hand,
shows
the
transformation
from
the
role
of
a
bus
conductor
to
that
of
an
overnight
star
with
élan.
He
is
simply
a
delight
to
watch.
Akshara
Haasan
too
has
pulled
off
the
role
of
a
feisty
assistant
director
well,
her
father's
acting
genes
are
definitely
inherited
by
her,
and
we
just
have
to
see
how
well
she
makes
use
of
them.
Technical
Aspects:
The
film
may
not
be
perfect
from
start
to
finish,
come
on
which
film
is!
So
by
that
standard,
there
are
a
lot
of
times
when
you
feel
the
story
is
dragged
or
that
there
are
way
too
many
tug-of-war
moments
between
the
lead
characters,
but
what
makes
up
for
all
the
minus
points
is
the
riveting
performances
by
the
actors
in
the
movie.
R
Balki
has
directed
it
well,
barring
the
complicated
climax
scenes.
Verdict:
Shamitabh is
a
treat
to
watch,
owing
to
the
lead
actors
of
the
film,
Amitabh
Bachchan
and
Dhanush.
They
have
made
the
movie
fun
and
entertaining
covering
up
the
film's
weak
plot.
This
