A
typical
climax
scene
in
any
rom-com
movie
will
have
the
lead
couple
marrying,
thereby
signifying
a
happy
ending.
But
here
is
Tanu
Weds
Manu
Returns,
a
movie
that
starts
where
other
stories
end.
As
viewers,
when
the
movie
ends,
we
do
end
up
wondering
how
the
married
life
of
the
lead
characters
will
be
like
and
here
is
filmmaker
Aanand
L
Rai
who
is
ready
to
show
us
just
that.
The
movie
grips
you
from
the
very
first
scene,
which
shows
the
Tanu
(Kangana
Ranaut)
and
Manu
(Madhavan)
sitting
in
front
of
the
doctors
at
a
mental
asylum.
During
their
four
years
of
married
life
the
couple
have
changed
causing
them
to
constantly
fight
with
each
other.
Manu
is
fed
up
and
decides
to
get
divorced.
With
a
nervous
state
of
mind
he
sends
her
the
notice
and
a
pissed
off
Tanu
comes
back
to
her
hometown
and
meets
her
ex
Raja
(Jimmy
Shergill)
and
all
her
old
boyfriends.
Meanwhile
Manu
meets
Kusum,
Tanu
lookalike
at
a
college
lecture.
She
sings
‘I
might
be
sentimental'
in
Haryanvi
style
which
causes
Manu
to
fall
in
love
with
her.
Kusum
who
gets
to
know
about
Manu's
feelings
decides
she
doesn't
want
to
have
an
extra
marital
affair
with
him.
Meanwhile
Kusum's
marriage
gets
fixed
with
Raja
Avasthi
(Tanu's
ex
from
Tanu
Weds
Manu).
Tanu
Weds
Manu
Returns
Performances:
Needless
to
say,
but
Kangana
Ranaut
has
given
stellar
performances
in
both
the
roles
she
has
essayed,
Tanu
and
Kusum.
But
more
whistles
for
Kangana's
Haryanvi
character
which
she
performed
with
aplomb.
This
movie
will
easily
see
her
win
a
number
of
awards
and
may
even
beat
her
Queen
record.
Madhavan
may
be
overshadowed
by
Kangana
in
the
film,
but
his
realistic
acting
is
very
enchanting.
He
doesn't
try
too
much
and
therefore
is
simple
role
captivates
you.
Supporting
characters
like
Deepak
Dobriyal,
Mohammed
Zeeshan
Ayyub,
Jimmy
Sheirgill,
and
Swara
Bhaskar
make
this
movie
memorable
and
a
sure
shot
winner.
Aanand
has
struck
the
right
cord
with
the
way
he
has
directed
this
movie.
It
is
very
difficult
to
direct
a
hit
sequel
to
a
successful
movie
but
Mr.
Rai
has
managed
to
do
it
with
much
exquisiteness.
Some
may
find
the
second
half
of
the
move
a
bit
dragging
but
not
to
worry;
Aanand
has
directed
an
impeccable
movie
which
will
entertain
you
till
the
end.
Himanshu
Sharma
who
has
written
the
story
deserves
a
standing
ovation
for
it
doesn't
seem
make
believe
and
is
in
fact
very
feasible
and
believable.

Verdict:
Tanu
Weds
Manu
Returns
is
a
must
watch
movie,
it
surpasses
the
entertainment
value
of
the
original
even.

Manu
Is
Back
Manu
aka
Madhavan
is
back.
He
and
Dhanush
are
the
only
two
South
Indian
actors
who
have
been
accepted
with
open
arms
by
the
Bollywood
audience.
Every
Hindi
movie
that
Madhavan
does
has
been
brillaint
and
one
can't
wait
to
see
him
on
the
big
screen
again.
Tanu
&
Kusum
Actors
essaying
double
roles
in
movies
is
not
a
new
thing
but
in
this
movie
we
have
to
give
a
standing
ovation
to
Kangana
Ranaut
who
has
portrayed
these
two
different
roles
with
atmost
perfection.
Kusum's
Accent
It
is
not
a
easy
thing
to
learn
a
different
dialect,
let
a
alone
a
whole
new
accent
along
with
it.
But
Kangana
being
the
talented
artist
that
she
is,
mastered
the
Haryanvi
dialect
which
can
be
seen
in
the
trailer.
Raja
Too
Is
Back
Jimmy
Shergill
as
Raja
is
back
in
the
sequel.
His
love
story
with
Tanu
in
the
first
part
was
interrupted
by
Manu,
let's
see
how
far
his
romance
will
go
this
time.
Manu
&
Kusum
We
have
already
seen
the
chemistry
of
Tanu
and
Manu
in
part
one,
but
this
time
Manu's
chemistry
with
Kusum
transcends
on
a
different
level.
The
innocence
and
purity
of
love
can
be
easily
seen.
Manu's
Smile
Many
of
you
may
wonder
why
this
point?
But
a
lot
of
Madhavan
fans
will
agree
with
the
above
mentioned
point.
His
smile
is
killing
and
in
a
good
way!
He
just
mesmerizes
you
every
time
he
smiles
and
a
lot
of
female
fans
will
be
heading
to
theatre
to
see
that
killer
smile
on
the
big
screen.
Director
Anand's
previous
movies,
Tanu
Weds
Manu
and
Ranjhanna
were
both
good
and
from
the
looks
of
it,
Tanu
Weds
Manu
Returns
seems
to
be
heading
in
the
same
direction.
Music
The
songs
of
the
movie
have
managed
to
click
with
the
audience
for
they
not
only
suit
the
theme
of
the
movie
but
are
also
very
catchy
and
fun.
Ensemble
Cast
The
film
has
a
lot
of
new
characters
to
keep
you
engaged
as
well
as
spend
your
time
LOL'ing
at
their
jokes.
Two
new
additions,
Mohammad
Zeeshan
Ayyub
and
Rajesh
Sharma
will
surely
entertain
you
with
their
acts.
