Born in an orthodox Haryanvi family as Reema Lamba, she has adopted the name Mallika which means 'queen' and boy, she is one! Due to her mother's continuous support , she has used her mother's maiden name Sherawat to express her gratitude. Mallika is no stranger to marriage . She had been married and is now divorced Karan Singh Gill , a pilot. This mysterious Scorpio of 24 years made the world take notice of her. Her second movie Khwahish released in 2004 didn't do too well in the box office but accelerated her career as an actress. Her first movie was Jeena Sirf Mere Liye where she played a small role. Her hot curvaceous body was the talk of the town and on the other hand, most women detested her. Her 17 kissing and love making scenes made everyone notice the bold Sherawat. Although heavily criticized by many orthodox people and film actors, she became the favourite of many directors. She delivered a super hit, Murder directed by Mahesh Bhatt which made her every man's fantasy . The film set the nation by storm . The music of the film became so famous and once again Mallika was back with a bang. But movies after that Murder didn't do well. Myth, her first international film with Jackie Chan was a failure . Her films haven't done too well after Murder but she surely pins hope on her next film with Rahul Bose titled Pyar Ke Side Effects where she plays the role of an extroverted , frank girl takes the initiative of wooing the character of Rahul. This movie is slated to be released in august and we surely can't wait to watch this sexy siren in her new avatar.
