She is the actress who stands out from the rest when it comes to making fashion statements. Who can forget her looking so angelic in her blue and white salwar in the song Tum Bin Bataye or the scene where she wears a white formal top with a sari when she passionately intends to get into the 'skin' of the character. Soha is the new scorcher on the block after the success of Rang De Basanti.
Soha Ali Khan was born on October 4, 1978 in New Delhi, India, into the family of the nawabs of Pataudi. Her father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, the current nawab, is a former captain of the Indian cricket team. Her mother, Sharmila Tagore, is a noted film actress, and a distant relative (not a direct descendant, as often supposed) of the nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Soha is also related to the late Nafisa Joseph. Her brother is actor Saif Ali Khan. She attended The British School in New Delhi, then followed on to study History at Balliol College, Oxford University and has a Masters in International Relations from the London School of Economics.
Soha made her acting debut with the Bollywood production Dil Maange More (2004), where she shared credits with Shahid Kapoor and two other leading ladies. Starting off weakly, she has since received critical acclaim for her performances in the Bengali film Antar Mahal (2005) and Rang De Basanti (2006).
Before embarking upon her film career, Soha worked for the Ford Foundation and Citibank. She is involved in a range of activities outside the acting world, including serving on the Advisory Board for a new project of the public entrepreneur group, Res Publica.

Rising star kid, Soha Ali Khan will be doing an English movie titled Postcard. After her well appreciated performance in Rang de Basanti, Soha will be doing her first English movie with first time director Rajshree Ojha called Yatna. She is based in Los Angeles and has won an award for her short film.
The film will be shot in India, around March. Postcard will have four stories intertwined. The star cast also includes Roopa Ganguly, Victor Banerjee and Keira Chaplin, granddaughter of legendary comedian, Charlie Chaplin.
Soha Ali Khan will also be doing a movie alongside acclaimed actress and mum Sharmila Tagore and our desi king of comedy, Govinda.
Soha Ali Khan is very excited about her new movie release Ahista Ahista on 4th August. She plays the role of Megha who is from the small town of Nainital. She leaves her home for a particular reason and finds herself in old Delhi which is very new to her. Since, she is from a small town, she is very protected and timid. When she finds herself in Delhi, she obviously is quite daunted. She doesn't really trust the environment of this bit city. Finally she begins to trust this boy played by Abhay and their relationship develops. In the time she spends in Delhi, she finds herself a job and discovers a lot about herself. She opens up, attains a certain amount of independence and confidence. With the brilliant portrayal of character, we can't wait to watch Ahista Ahista...
