When the inborn acting talent couples with a gorgeous face and a cute smile, there we have the stunning actress Tisca Chopra to create waves on the bigscreen and miniscreen alike. With a handful of succfessful films and few popular TV shows Tisca is a widely recognizable face in the glamorous film industry.
Born on 1st November, Tisca was named Priya Arora. When she tied a knot with an Air-India pilot, she became Mrs Tisca Chopra. She was an inborn actor and thus opportunities came on her way ending up as stories of unbeatable success. Years back she had made her big screen debut as a lead opposite Ajay Devgan in a film called Platform.
Even though she started her career with big fishes in the film industry and starred with super stars like Ajay Devgan, for some unknown reason she disappeared from the film industry for a while during which she did plays like Mahtama V/S Gandhi, Salesman Ramlal and Inshah Allah and finally joined television with Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. She's also done films like Hyderabad Blues II, Loknayak Jay Prakash Nariayan and Karma. Ronit Roy's wife in Sarrkkar her character was of Urvashi. Tisca Chopra became a popular face on TV after acting in Balaji Telefims' Kahanii Ghar Ghar Kii and also Sarrkar. Tisca Chopra could easily be one of the few stars on television who does selective work. "I only take up projects that I enjoy," says the lady.
She went on to act in some forgettable films like 15th August, Bali Umar Ko Salaam and Taqeerwala. Later she took on TV and theater while occasionally dabbling in films like Hyderabad Blues 2 and Sau Jhoot Ek Sach. Now Tisca returns into the bigger scheme of things with Taare Zameen Par. In 2008, she would also be seen in Sanjay Gupta's Alibaug.
Tisca will soon be appeared on a much awaited on the tube in a show named Main Hoon Na, which is a project of popular TV channel Star Plus. The show will be aired on Star News and it's about consumer grievances as Tisca will mediate on behalf of the consumers. Tisca shared that she loves the concept of the show as it would be a platform for people to vent out their grievances, be it social, legal or corporate. Main Hoon Na will try to reach the common man and put across their problems on National TV. The show will help to keep a check on the brands that are slacking in consumer service.
