Elli Avram Biography

Elli Avram is an Indian actress who predominantly works in the Bollywood film industry. She made her screen debut in the Swedish film "Forbjuden Frukt." Avram performed her first role in the Hindi film "Mickey Virus." She received a significant amount of audience praise and favourable reviews. She made her web series debut in 2019's The Verdict: State vs. Nanavati. She was Bigg Boss 7's contestant and was eliminated on day 70.

Personal Life

Elli Avram was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on July 29, 1990. She was raised in Stockholm's Tyresö kommun. Her Swedish mother, Maria Granlund, is a well-known Swedish starlet who appeared in Ingmar Bergman's Oscar-winning film Fanny and Alexander. Her Greek father, Jannis Avramidis, is a musician who currently resides in Sweden. AvrRam earned a degree in society and economics from Stockholm's Frans Schartau High School.

Career

From a young age, she grew interested in singing, dancing, and figure skating. Her mother and aunt, who own a theatre in Skne County, Sweden, gave her acting lessons. Since she was a young child, AvrRam has had a connection to India. She claimed in an interview with the Stockholm tabloid Mitt I that she had been "fascinated by Indian dancing and the bright garments even when I was five."

At age 17, AvrRam joined the Pardesi Dance Group in Stockholm, where she performed dance routines largely to Bollywood music. AvrRam has appeared in a few acting roles in Sweden, the most notable of which is Selen, the central character's teenage girlfriend, in the crime drama romance film Förbjuden Frukt from December 2008. She falls in love with a boy who has a criminal past in the film, which is set in a world of violent crime. AvrRam competed in the Miss Greece beauty pageant in 2010. She also had an appearance on the Swedish television programme Gomorron Sverige.

AvrRam relocated to Mumbai in September 2012 on a tourist visa in order to pursue an acting career in Bollywood. She discussed her decision to act in Hindi films in an interview with N Magazine: "I saw Devdas, a nearly four-hour movie starring Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai, on the TV in my room when I was 14 years old. I didn't move once the time was up. I thought, "Wow, I want to dance and sing like them." "I must act in Bollywood films." After joining a modelling agency, she quickly obtained a work visa. She was aided in gaining auditions by the agency.

Her first significant job was a TV ad for Eveready Manufacturing India with top Indian star Akshay Kumar. AvrRam has also appeared in a TryAngles studio-produced television ad for Ricchezza Silver Jewelry. In Iran, she appeared in the Hala Chi Shod music video by SB Shaggy and Emad. She ultimately scored the main role in Saurabh Varma's comedy-thriller Mickey Virus, which marked her first significant professional success.
