Biography:
Krishna Bhagavan is a popular actor in Tollywood, who has acted in more than 100 films as a comedian. Background Krishna Bhagavan was born in Kaikavolu, a small village in East Godavari district. His parents were Meenavalli Veerraju and Lakshmi Kantham. He spent his childhood in Kaikavolu and went to Pedapudi for his school studies. He joined the Gandhi Memorial School there. He used to cross the farms and a small canal to go to his school. He was not good at studies. He completed his schooling with great difficulty. Education After completing his schooling in Kaikavolu, he went to Kakinada for his higher school education. He completed his 10th Standard there and joined in Andalamma College for his intermediate education. He came to Hyderabad for his College Studies and completed his Graduation in Commerce (B.Com), in Ambedkar Degree College, Baglingampally, Hyderabad. He tried to complete Master degree in commerce. But when he did not get a seat in any college, he lost interest in continuing his studies further and developed an interest towards movies. Career He was very interested in acting, from his school days. His brother Dr. Mangaraju encouraged him to act in stage dramas and small plays, during his school days. He started his career as a Drama Artist. His first played drama was Pending File, in which he played the role of Parandhamayya. But as he went on the stage, he forgot the entire portion of his role and got confused. Any how he managed that one and it was a memorable experience for him as a drama artist. After that, he went to Chennai, in order to start his film career. There, he attended the screening test for Kranti Kumar's film. He was one among the 300 people, who attended the test. He got an opportunity to act in that film. But unfortunately, due to the death of the film producer, the film shooting stopped in the middle. After that, Krishna Bhagavan did a film called Maharshi, for Sravanti Ravi Kishore, along with Raghava, Shanthi Priya and Ram Jagan. This film was directed by Vamsy. This film's run was average, which brought a little recognition to Krishna Bhagavan. After that he did a film Vidudala, which was directed by Vamsy. He also wrote the script for that film. His career as an actor did not gear up, until he did the role of Babji in the Television Serial Vasantha Kokila, directed by his friend Uppalapati Narayana Rao. This role brought him into limelight and also helped him win the Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Award for his performance. After that, his career got kick-started with the movies Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru, Kabaddi Kabaddi, etc. After becoming a popular comedian, Krishna Bhagavan started getting offers as a solo hero and he acted in John Appa Rao 40 Plus, Bommana Brothers Chandana Sisters, Mr. Girisham, etc. Personal Life Krishna Bhagavan married his sister's daughter and has one daughter.
