Kulbhushan Kharbanda is an Indian actor who debuted as Shakal in the film Shaan, inspired by the character of Blofeld from James Bond movies. He later appeared in all three parts of Deepa Mehta's Elements trilogy, Fire (1996), Earth (1998) and Water (2005). Kharbanda is a critically acclaimed actor who has also worked in mainstream cinema.
Kharbanda appeared in Gupt, Border, Monsoon Wedding and Shaan. He portrayed Reema Lagoo's husband and Raj Babbar's brother in Filmwala's Production, Kalyug.
Kulbhushan has also appeared in period pieces, such as Jodha Akbar and Lagaan. He has acted in a number of Punjabi films. He acted in the legendary film Chan Pardesi (1980) and also starred in the comedy Mahaul Theek Hai (1999).
