Pooja Bhatt Biography

Pooja Bhatt is an Indian actress and filmmaker who has appeared in over 50 films in a career spanning over three decades. She is the child of actor Kiran Bhatt and director Mahesh Bhatt. She is renowned for her standout performances in Sadak, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, among other films.

and Early Life

Pooja Bhatt was born on February 24, 1972, to Mahesh Bhatt and Kiran Bhatt (born Loraine Bright). Bhatt has Gujarati ancestry on her father's side and English, Scottish, Armenian, and Burmese heritage on her mother's side. She is Soni Razdan's stepdaughter. Shaheen and Alia Bhatt are her half-sisters, and Rahul Bhatt is her brother. Hitarth Bhat and Emraan Hashmi are her cousins.

On August 24, 2003, she married her long-time boyfriend and a former popular VJ of Indian music channel Channel V, Manish Makhija, also known as Udham Singh. He now owns a restaurant and bar in Goa.

Career

Pooja Bhatt made her acting debut in 1989 in the father-directed movie Daddy. Awaara Paagal Deewana (1994), Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1999), and Sadak (1991) are just a few of the popular films she went on to star in during the 1990s.

Pooja Bhatt transitioned to directing in the 2000s. In 2004, she made her directorial debut with the critically acclaimed and financially successful movie Paap. Later, she became the director of Jism 2 (2012), Zakhm (2006), and Dhoom (2004). Actress and director Pooja Bhatt is well-known in both the Hindi and Telugu cinema industries for her versatility. She is well-known for being forthright and is a prominent character in Indian popular culture.

On the singing reality series Super Singer, Pooja Bhatt does not serve as a judge. Playback singers Sunidhi Chauhan, Karthik, and Shankar Mahadevan serve as the show's judges. However, she has appeared as a guest on the programme multiple times. On the programme, she has also performed a few songs, including "Aaj Kal Meri" from the 1997 movie Tamanna.

Everybody Says I'm Fine! was her last film role, which she played in 2001. Since then, she has concentrated on directing and producing. With the 2004 film Paap, starring John Abraham and Udita Goswami, she made her filmmaking breakthrough. She has since directed two other films, Holiday (2006) and Dhokha (2007).
